BIOLOGY- Plants and Animals
	CHICKEN EGG HATCHING KIT (Sc2) £25 each, 2 available Whole kit includes an incubator for 10 eggs with autoturn cradle, an egg lume lamp to check the progress of the eggs, a hatching lamp, thermometer and all instructions and manuals. Especially popular at Easter so book ahead!
	FLOWER MODEL (Sc2) £4 each, 2 available A hard plaque which demonstrates flower structure, pollination and fertilisation.
	PLANT IN A POCKET (Sc2) £5 Beautifully made felt 'packages' that unroll to reveal the parts of a plant stuck on with Velcro. Put all the parts in the right place and see if you can label them too!
	ROCKPOOL & PONDLIFE SETS (Sc2) £8 Use either the rockpool or the pondlife sets and stick the creatures onto the felt background using Velcro. Children can have fun trying to label them and categorising them into land or water animals.

	BABY DEVELOPMENT TUNIC (Sc2) £10 Children can wear the tunic and work out how the baby develops in the womb. Comes with a a set of labels and different sized foetuses!
	BAG OF BONES (Sc2) £10 each, 2 available Large fabric backdrop with 20 large embroidered bones. Two sets of labels, one for everyday terms, the other correct medical terms.
	DENTAL TOOTH MODEL (Sc2) £4 Tooth model 3 x life size. Good for learning about oral hygiene and teeth.

	EYE MODEL (Sc2) £8 Model eye, 3 times full size with 6 removable parts. Ideal for SATs and GCSE revision.
	ORGANS TUNIC - INSIDE OUT (Sc2) £10 each, 2 available Another tunic that children can wear. This one has all the internal organs. This is a great way to learn about where they are in the body as you can see it 'on' a person.
	SKELETON (Sc2) £20, 3 available Full-size skeleton + stand. Great for discovering how you move, the bones that make up your skeleton and body parts.
	SKELETON - INSIDE OUT TUNIC (Sc2) £10 each, 2 available Children can have fun putting on the tunic and seeing if they can work out where the bones go. Then try and label them!
	TORSO MODEL (Sc2) £10 each, 2 available About a foot high model of a person with loads of removable parts (including the brain!). Acts like a giant jigsaw puzzle. Can be used for classroom demonstrations or as a table top exhibit.
PHYSICS
	AIRTRACK KIT (Sc4) £20 Airtrack is a very low friction track used to help prove basic principles such as Newton’s laws, equations of motion etc. Kit includes two variable mass vehicles & air blower unit.
	INTECH FLYER (Sc4) £10 (1 week only) The INTECH flyer allows you to fly paper planes at 80mph! This is a great excuse for a fun day at school, making your own paper planes and seeing how slight changes can drastically effect their flight path. All ages of children (and adults!) love this flyer, we even get a lot of requests to hire it out for parties! Don't worry if your plane making skills aren't up to scratch, a template and instructions are provided!
	INVESTIGATE UK £50 A set of 6 table top exhibits and trolley. Investigate forces and energy using this self-contained hands on activity.
	LIGHTBOX + OPTICAL SET (Sc4) £10 Show your students a whole spectrum of colours, and investigate what other patterns and colour combinations you can make with the shapes and filters provided.
	LOCKTRONICS CIRCUIT BOARD (Sc4) £20 for set of 5 (15 available) The locktronics system consists of electronic components mounted underneath tough moulded polystyrene carriers with the appropriate circuit symbol on the top surface. Once circuits have been assembled, a circuit diagram can be seen on the top.
	OMEGA KIT (Sc4) £20 for set of 8 Gives students an understanding of electronics through hands-on experience of building circuits from real components. Components are mounted on boards and connected by plug-leads to build circuits quickly and successfully.
	SOLAR SYSTEM (Sc4) £8 Velcro background with removable fabric planets and labels
	TELESCOPE - PHENIX F70070 £10 each, 2 available, £50 deposit per telescope The telescope is a 70 mm refractor with a focal length of 700 mm, and is produced by Phenix Optical Group of China. It is mounted on an AZ2 type altazimuth mount, and has a small finder telescope which you use to locate objects prior to observing them through the main instrument. It comes with two main eyepieces, giving magnifications of 35 and 60, with a third very high power eyepiece which is best suited to bright objects such as the Moon.
VARIOUS
	ANEMOMETER–Digital, hand held, mobile (Sc1) (set of 9) £50 + refundable deposit £50 Measures wind speed in metres per second, kilometres per hour, miles per hour, feet per minute, knots and Beaufort force. Can record current, maximum and average wind speed. Battery powered.
	ANEMOMETER–Digital, hand held, mobile (Sc1) (set of 9) £50 + refundable deposit £50 Measures wind speed, temperature and wind chill. Measurement scales available - metres per second, kilometres per hour, miles per hour, feet per minute, knots, Beaufort force, degrees centigrade and Fahrenheit. Can record current, maximum and average wind speed. Battery powered.
	CAMM 1 PNC 960 £40 Primarily a sign writing item of equipment, but can also be used with a plotter. Uses include manufacture of vinyl logos and signs. Good for packaging projects. PC is loaded with 2D-design software. Training from INTECH staff is available on this equipment.
	DATA LOGGERS FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS (Sc1) £25 Per set of 5, 40 available These data loggers are extremely easy to use and specifically aimed at primary school aged children. With the in-built sensors you can measure temperature, sound and light levels. The results are displayed on the data unit, which can be connected to a computer to create graphs. Plug in sensors can be hired at £2 per sensor. For primary schools, we have temperature probes, timing mats, current, voltage and push button sensors. We advise that these plug in sensors should be used only by the teacher for demonstration purposes.
	DATA LOGGERS, PRIMARY EXPERIMENT SET (Sc1) £8 each, 40 available This set includes one data logger (described above), 2 temperature sensors and a workbook. Not sure what experiments you could do with your class and the data loggers? This superb workbook has 20 different activities you can carry out using the data loggers and temperature probes. They cover comparing, predicting, recording, monitoring, investigating and examining data in a fun and inventive way. Experiments include: Be Quiet! How near, how far? Sunglasses, Goldilocks, What shall I wear today? How long will the light last? etc. A further 4 experiments from the book can be carried out if you hire a heart rate sensor, a pair of timing mats and 2 light gates (£4 special offer).
	DATA LOGGERS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS £25 Per set of 5, 20 available These data loggers are extremely easy to use and specifically aimed at school children. With the in-built sensors you can measure temperature, sound and light levels. For secondary schools, we have temperature probes, timing mats, sound, current, voltage and push button sensors, heart rate monitors, rotary motion, motion sensors, infra-red, force, UV and pressure sensors, light gates.
	DATA LOGGERS, SECONDARY EXPERIMENT SET There are a range of sets available which include a data logger, a variety of sensors and worksheets. They vary in price depending on the set hired and the quantitiy. Please phone for more information. 	DIGITAL MICROSCOPES (Sc1) £15 Per set of 5, up to 15 available These computer microscopes are incredibly easy to use. They connect to a computer so that you can see your finds on a large screen. Then you can be creative by taking a picture, film, adding words or paint on top of it. Microscopes also come out of their cradle so you can get a closer look.
	FUN MATHS ROADSHOW £20 per box, £30 for 2 boxes, Each box in the fun maths roadshow is for a different ability group (from year 6 to undergraduate) and contains 25 practical interactive mathematical puzzles. These puzzles don't 'feel' like maths, and students are usually suprised to learn that they are learning while playing! Each box can be used for an informal class activity, where the students try to complete as many as possible.

	PARALLEL ARM MAGNIFIER £10 for set of 20 Magnifier mounted on parallel stand with heavy base.
	SCALES-Digital £8 each, 2 available Simple digital scales able to weigh up to 2kg. Can be zeroed to allow the addition of ingredients one at a time. Portable with LCD display
	SOLAR POWER KIT (Sc4 £10 Portable kit suitable for running projects such as solar powered activities etc.
	STIKA STX-7 £40 Computer controlled vinyl cutter. Can cut shapes, logos, names, signs etc. Iron-on vinyl and plastic vinyl off cuts are available at a small cost. PC is loaded with 2D Design software. Training from INTECH staff is required on this equipment.
	THERMOFORMING CENTRE 911 POA Multifunctional machine capable of carrying out several thermoforming functions, including, Vacuum forming, Injection moulding, Dome blowing, extrusion, Plastic Dip Coating, Plastic welding. This machine is best used at INTECH, but loan arrangements can be made.
	THERMOMETER-Clinical Digital (Sc1)£8 each, 4 available As used for temperature testing by nurses in hospitals. Temperature is given on LCD display.
	THERMOMETER-Digital (Sc1) £8 each, 3 available Dual sensor thermometer, with remote sensor fitted with a lead. Digital clock is built into unit.
