Two full time Technicians.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor you will join a small workshop team to work on the design and construction of new interactive exhibits within the current house style. You will also be participating in the ongoing refurbishment programme and taking shared responsibility for the maintenance of the existing exhibition.
Flexibility is key as INTECH relies on a small team of dedicated individuals working closely together to support and develop the organisation, so occasional additional support duties will be required in other areas of its business.
The ideal candidate will have good workshop skills with experience of both metal and wood working machinery and an ability to work with a wide range of materials, be able to work as part of a small team and be self motivated.
The following skills and experience are desirable but not essential:
Basic understanding of electronics
Cad Cam
AutoCAD
Experience in interactive exhibit design and build
One post might be suitable for a less experienced applicant.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm with an hour for lunch. Occasional weekend, Bank holiday and out of hours work may be required by mutual agreement.
