This amazing and exciting exhibit was sponsored by the Integra Project to help inform everyone about the the way we can influence the amount of rubbish generated simply by thinking about what we buy.
Visitors follow the instructions on the screens mounted in the wheel bin kiosks. They scan their age group, which allows the information to be displayed at the appropriate level, then they enter the giant bin and scan their selections as they shop for a typical lunch - fruit, drink, sandwiches, sweets and a comic. While in the bin they can also look at what happens to some of the rubbish, rotating displays show the stages of the recycling process. When they leave the bin and scan 'checkout' back at the kiosk the screen shows their score and details about the final destination of the waste that they purchased.
